DescriptionBetasalic ointment is a combination medication that contains two active ingredients: Betamethasone (a corticosteroid) and Salicylic acid (a keratolytic). It is commonly used to treat various skin conditions.
  •  Prevent and reduce the symptoms of altitude sickness.
  • Decrease headache, tiredness, nausea, dizziness, and shortness of breath that can occur when you climb quickly to high altitudes (generally above 10,000 feet/3,048 meters)
  • Treat high pressure in the eye due to certain types of Glaucoma
  • Abnormal retention of fluids (Acetazolamide 250mg Tablets acts as a diuretic)
  • Epilepsy (fits or convulsions).
  • treat chickenpox and shingles
  • treat cold sores, genital herpes and other herpes simplex infections
  • stop these problems returning after you have had them
  • stop these problems in people whose immune system works less well, which means their bodies are less able to fight infections
  • treat "cold sores/fever blisters " (herpes labialis).
  • It can speed up healing of the sores
  • decrease symptoms (such as tingling, pain, burning, itching).
ContentThe uses of Betasalic ointment may include:

It is a powder containing Ampicillin trihydrate B.P. and Cloxacillin. When dispensed as directed each 5 ml of the suspension contains the equivalent of 125 mg Ampicillin and 125 mg Cloxacillin.  It is used to treat Infections caused by susceptible organisms where a mixed infection is present and includes penicillin-resistant staphylococci.Acetazolamide 250mg Tablets  contain the active substance Acetazolamide. This belongs to a group of medicines known as carbonic anhydrase inhibitors.Aciclovir 200 mg Tablets contain a medicine called aciclovir. This belongs to a group of medicines called antivirals. It works by killing or stopping the growth of viruses.Isotretinoin Capsule belongs to a group of medicines called retinoids, which are closely related to vitamin A derivative. It is used to treat:
  • severe acne that has not responded to other treatments.
  • It works by reducing the amount of facial oil(sebum).
  • Untreated acne can result into scarring.
Aciclovir belongs to a class of medication known as antivirals. It works by stopping the growth of the virus. This medication does not cure herpes, and it does not prevent passing the infection to someone else. It does not prevent a future occurrence.
